Through the eyes of a botanist and the creative mind of an artist, my work aims to question our paradoxical relationship of dependency and detachment with the natural environments. In nature I find inspiration to expose the often unperceived signs of life that convey the critical message of ephemerality, and address issues of climate change, social resilience and sustainability. Utilizing a wide range of forms and mixed media—ranging from discarded materials repurposed into sculptural pieces to raw natural elements captured in photographs or recorded soundscapes—I blend the organic with the human-made. Through these creations, I aim to engage audiences and spark peaceful conversations around the conflicting themes of environmental and social challenges.
